Campus Visit Programs include a presentation from an admission representative and a campus tour from a student tour guide. Tours are available Mondays - Thursdays, and select Fridays. In addition to your tour, you may also schedule an appointment with an admissions counselor. With at least two weeks notice, academic and campus partner appointments may be arranged. Appointments are subject to departmental availability.
Bulldog Fridays and Champ Saturdays have the added bonus of an Academic and Student Service Information Fair where you’ll have the chance to talk with representatives from campus departments and schools. By the end of the day, you’ll have all the tools you need to decide if you’re destined to be a Bulldog. Many people choose to make a weekend of it and stay to explore further what makes UMD and the city of Duluth so special.

Campus Preview is an event only offered over Minnesota's MEA break; Thursday, October 19 and Friday, October 20. Students that visit UMD during Campus Preview will receive a presentation, campus tour, and can participate in our Academic and Student Service Fair.
Campus Preview is a large program; due to the volume of guests we will not be able to accommodate individual requests from visitors. However, during the Information Fair, there will be representatives from admissions, campus partners, college advisors, and faculty available to answer any specific questions you may have.
We apologize but Campus Preview is full for both Thursday, October 19 and Friday, October 20. We invite you to explore the other visit opportunities we have available.
After selecting your visit day to UMD, you and your parent (if email provided) will receive a confirmation email with a parking pass, directions to campus, and itinerary of your visit.
If you are unable to print your parking pass, contact our office at email@example.com, and we will mail you a parking permit. Please allow five-seven business days for our office to process this request. Campus visitors are directed to park in Gold Lot A with their assigned parking permit. Once parked, follow directional signage to your campus visit location.
For more information on Campus Visits, view our Frequently Asked Questions page.
In preparation for the new Chemistry and Advanced Materials Science Building on campus, directions to your UMD campus visit check-in location may change. Visiting students and their families are still encouraged to park in Gold Lot A (accessed via West College Street and University Drive) with their assigned parking permit. Once parked, visitors should follow the posted detour for their check-in location.
