Financial Aid for Graduate Students
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, University of Minnesota Duluth, provides competitive financial support (e.g., tuition, health insurance and stipend) to all admitted graduate students for the entire length of their degree candidacy (usually two years).
Students work as teaching assistants and some other students are supported as research assistants in the research group of their thesis adviser. Outstanding students are encouraged to apply for external fellowships. Health insurance is provided, and there are also optional dental and vision plans available at a reasonable cost to the student.
Graduate Housing
Designated office (UMD Housing & Residence Life) in the University of Minnesota Duluth provides housing information for the majority of single and married graduate students within walking or biking distance of the campus.
