Michael Mageau
Michael Mageau is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Environmental Studies, Master of Liberal Studies and Biology programs. He is also the Founder and Research Director of the Institute for a Sustainable Future (ISF). The ISF is a nonprofit organization created to foster ecologically and socially sustainable economic development with a unique combination of research, education, activism, and community projects. Finally, Michael is the Executive Director of the US Society for Ecological Economics. Michael holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Science with a certificate in Ecological Economics from the University of Maryland. His main teaching and research interests include: ecological economics, ecosystem health and integrity, sustainable economic development, free trade and globalization, the effects of inequality on community and the environment, commoditization and overconsumption, ecological footprint analysis and renewable energy analysis.
