The Socratic Society is the student philosophy club at UMD. They generally meet weekly on Thursday evenings on campus at 7:30 to discuss a variety of philosophical topics. Discussions are led by students and guest faculty. To volunteer, see the sign-up sheet on the door of the Philosophy Seminar room, ABAH 301.

William James and the periphery of Consciousness
The Meaning of Life
Does Mind Matter?
and a "Phil-Off" - competitive one-minute mini-debates on topics drawn from a hat.
