Welcome to the UMD Department of Theatre, dedicated to the training of excellent theater artists and production of internationally acclaimed theatrical productions.

Theater students at UMD benefit from a level of faculty experience and connections that are unparalleled in higher education, and unlike many theater programs, they do not compete with graduate students for production opportunities, and leave UMD with portfolios and resumes far more extensive than the average undergraduate student.
