Come for a visit, leave a Bulldog!

We get it. You wanna kick the tires, check the place out, catch the vibe, and stuff like that. Well, we'd love to make your acquaintance.

You should never buy a car without giving it a test drive. You should never try a deep-fried Twinkie without making your buddy taste it first. And you shouldn’t pick a college without first checking out the campus.

Click on the link below to find out how you can schedule a campus visit. You might also want to catch an event or two while on campus, and decide for yourself if you and UMD are a perfect match.

Campus Visit Programs

Campus visit programs generally include a presentation from an admission representative and a campus tour from a student volunteer. Tours are available most weekdays during the academic year and summer months. Availability of tours during UMD breaks will vary.

In addition to your tour, you may also schedule an appointment with an admissions counselor. With at least two weeks notice, academic and campus partner appointments may be arranged. Appointments are subject to departmental availability.

Bulldog Fridays and Champ Saturdays

Bulldog Fridays and Champ Saturdays have the added bonus of an Academic and Student Service Information Fair where you’ll have the chance to talk with representatives from campus departments and schools. By the end of the day, you’ll have all the tools you need to decide if you’re destined to be a Bulldog. Many people choose to make a weekend of it and stay to explore further what makes UMD and the city of Duluth so special.

My favorite part was student life. I was never without some fun, new opportunity, and often times learned something new or got something free!
