Visiting Day (Workshop)

The following timeline explains how we will workshop the BETA versions of your Glocalization Projects on Wednesday, April 10. The plan depends on your knowing who is and isn't on your assigned which is either the Red Team or the Green Team.

  • Red Team: first names beginning A-Ma
  • Green Team: first names beginning Me-Z

By Monday, April 8 at 6 p.m., post your Glocalization Project to your www folder, and then place a message in our 5230 Discussion Board in the discussion area called "Glocalization sites." If you are not able to use the Discussion Board, post e-mail to the class via our class alias. The subject line (or title) of your e-mail should include the numbers "5230" to help all of us spot these messages among all the others here at the end of the semester!

Before class time on Wednesday, April 10, prepare written responses and suggestions for the projects done by classmates who are not on your team.. Be sure your name appears on your responses.

In class Wednesday, Wednesday, April 10, we'll have a "Visiting Day."

From 6:45 to 7:20, members of the Red Team (first names A-Ma) will sit at their computers being hosts, while the Green Team members (first names Me-Z) walk around as "visitors." The visitors (Green Team) will be responsible for conferencing with one member of the Red Team team every ten minutes to discuss their responses, the project, future plans, etc. Keep the focus on the hosts' project, not the visitor's. It's okay if a host has more than one visitor, but try to make sure that no one is being left out! Every ten minutes, I will announce the time to change and the visiting Green Team members will move along to conference with another Red Team host.

From 7:30 to 7:55, the Green Team will sit down and play hosts and the Red Team will circulate around as visitors. Again, visitors should plan on spending 10 minutes with each host.
