Biosketch

Dr. Graham is a geographic information systems (GIS) analyst in the Geospatial Analysis Center (GAC) in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota Duluth. He is a Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP). He obtained his PhD in Geological Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin concerned with GIS and global hydrology. His research activities have included a wide variety of social and environmental topics throughout his career as it progressed from engineering departments to social science institutes to university-wide research centers. Dr. Graham has experience with both primary and secondary data, in both aspatial as well as spatially enabled (raster and vector) data formats. Some project topic areas include: urban homelessness, spatial segregation in population demographics, childhood obesity and healthy food access, family life and early childhood development, archaeological site mapping, field data collection, optimal site selection, efficient vehicle routing, watershed modeling, climate, hazard mitigation, and ecological identification. Dr. Graham has methodological analytical experience with data collection and management, terrain and raster data analysis, geoprocessing and vector data analysis, site identification and location analysis, geostatistical analysis, and web mapping..
