Sicilian ice-cream in a bread bun. A good solution to a local problem: the Mediterranean heat quickly melts the ice-cream, which is absorbed by the bread.

Extra Credit

Some folks have asked about an extra credit option in the AnthFood class, indicating some interest in doing an extra-credit project.

In order to facilitate extra credit I have change one of the remaining Case Studies to an extra credit option.

What that means is that you only need to complete ONE of the remaining Case Studies as a requirement for the course.

Which one you want to complete is up to you.  It can be either the Cuisine/Culture Case Study
<http://www.d.umn.edu/cla/faculty/troufs/anthfood/case_studies/afCS-film.html#title>
OR the Language and Food Case Study
<http://www.d.umn.edu/cla/faculty/troufs/anthfood/case_studies/afCS-language.html#title>.

Your Case Study #3 will be due Friday, 17 April 2007.

With the revised options /no /Case Studies are due next week,  27 March 2009.

If you are interested in doing an extra credit project, you can do a 4th Case Study, selecting whichever one you /didn't /select for #3.  The Extra Credit Case Study will count up to 100 points (it is listed in your revised eGradebook file as .01 so that the computer will know that it is extra credit and should be /added to/ the other scores rather than being /included in/ the averaging of your grade).

Extra Credit Case Studies are due Friday, 1 May 2009.

I have change the eGradebook to reflect the new extra credit option <http://www.d.umn.edu/egradebook>.

I hope this new schedule and new options work out better for you.
