I asked students what they would tell next year's incoming students if they could tell them anything? This was their chance to send them a message about what to expect and how to get by in their first semester at UMD.
I encouraged students to be honest, and they were (one calls me Colonel Think, I think) for the most part. I also said they need to include one picture and one link. So, the results are there at the right.

In-Class Debate
The in-class debate took place on November 10. After some discussion, members of the audience decided that CON had presented a stronger case. Of course, they had the luxury of defending the status quo.
RESOLVED: That the police should be required to obtain a search warrant before entering the dormitory rooms of UMD students as they must to enter any other private residence.
