Legalities

The Rules of Evidence are complicated and sometimes difficult for lay persons to understand. They are fundamentally based on the idea that presentation of evidence in a Court Room should be fair, logical, based on first hand knowledge or perception and persuasive. Evidence is not to be second hand, speculative, explosive, emotional and prejudicial. Feel free to ask the lawyers or the judge at the trial about aspects of the trial process you do not understand, including the Rules of Evidence. The materials here are, again, Jury Instructions and describe what the Jury is told about the evidence presented at the Trial.
