Math 3280 (Differential Equations with Linear Algebra) or equivalent.

Fundamentals of Complex Analysis with Applications to Engineering,
Science, and Mathematics (3rd Edition), by E.B. Saff and A.D. Snider.

Topics:
Complex numbers and analytic functions; complex integration; complex
power series, Taylor series, and Laurent series; theory of residues;
conformal mapping.
Exams:
There will be a midterm and a final exam. The midterm is Wednesday,
March 9th. The final exam is 8-10 am,
Monday, May 9th. A sheet of notes is allowed for each exam.
Practice final. You are allowed a sheet of notes for the final (both sides of one sheet).
Grading:
Grades will be determined from assignments and exams. Assignments are 30%, midterm 30%, final exam 40%.
Homework:
Late assignments are not
accepted. Your answers should include intermediate steps - it is not
acceptable to only write down an answer.
